The lens mechanism
A mechanical bridge fitting and separate retaining components distinguish the front from an ordinary fixed-lens metal aviator. Fine temples keep the engineering at the lens rims visually prominent. The large teardrop lenses carry a brown gradient, darker across the upper portion. Austrian origin and the recorded patent number are retained as identifying information; the exact model requires the model inscription, not an inference from the release mechanism alone.
Collector’s note
The patent inscription describes a mechanism and does not establish the model number. The previous 5620-family attribution is withheld pending a legible model-code photograph.
Condition & presentation
The bridge mechanism and fine metal temples are present. Brown gradient lenses are fitted; the release mechanism has not been function-tested as part of this photographic review. Please refer to the photographs for surface detail; additional close-ups are available. No case is included.
Restoration is carried out with intention by third-party specialists on an as-needed basis, preserving original features and markings as fully as possible. Individual condition notes describe the visible state and any specifically recorded changes.
