Nylon construction
The black front has a broad upper line, rounded rectangular lens openings and a saddle bridge. Metal rivet accents appear at the outer corners and along the temples. With no lenses fitted, the shape of the inner rim and the thickness of the front remain especially visible. Specialist descriptions of the French Invincible identify nylon rather than conventional cellulose acetate; the corresponding maker attribution should be confirmed from the inscriptions on this particular frame.
Collector’s note
Specialist references identify comparable French nylon Invincible frames as Zyloware products of the early to mid-1960s. The maker attribution for this particular frame remains to be checked against its own inscriptions; Frame France is an origin designation.
Condition & presentation
Frame only, with visible surface marks including wear along the lower rim. No lenses or case are included. The nylon should be assessed by an optician before glazing.
Restoration is carried out with intention by third-party specialists on an as-needed basis, preserving original features and markings as fully as possible. Individual condition notes describe the visible state and any specifically recorded changes.
