Private clients / Consignment
Finding the
right buyer.
A considered introduction between an exceptional object and the person who will appreciate it.
Begin with the object
Tell us what you have, what is known about it, and what you would like to achieve. Photographs, identifying marks, condition and any ownership or restoration history provide a useful starting point.
Presentation with substance
We consider the object’s design, history and condition, then describe the details that make it worth examining. New old stock, retained original parts and later restoration are described distinctly where those histories are known.
A thoughtful introduction
Private enquiries and the Society’s public catalogue offer different ways for collectors to encounter an object. Placement depends on the piece, its presentation and the interests of prospective buyers. Any proposed consignment terms are discussed before an agreement is made.
