The decorative bridge

The central ornament is more specific than a generic eagle: outspread wings flank a vertically arranged propeller form. The motif has a strongly modelled surface that catches light above the simpler lens rims. A lower bridge provides a second, finer horizontal line. Green lenses set off the warm metal, making the bridge the focal point in a frontal view. Close photographs of the motif and metal-content stamp are particularly relevant to this example.

Collector’s note

The bridge has an aviation motif. It does not establish military issue, service history or a particular production decade; no documentary provenance accompanies that association.

Condition & presentation

The wings and central propeller motif retain their sculptural definition. Later green sun lenses are fitted. Please refer to the photographs for surface detail; additional close-ups are available. No case is included.

Restoration is carried out with intention by third-party specialists on an as-needed basis, preserving original features and markings as fully as possible. Individual condition notes describe the visible state and any specifically recorded changes.
