A broad, continuous brow

The Drifter’s large squared lens openings sit under a nearly continuous upper line. The temples meet the front at pronounced outer corners, extending its broad silhouette into the side view. Tortoise colouring and green lenses produce a warm, dark presentation. The recorded Frame France inscription matters when comparing this example with other Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban production: it specifies the origin recorded on the frame rather than the location implied by the American brand name.

Collector’s note

The temple inscription is a distinguishing feature of this example and can be examined in additional photographs.
