Filigree metalwork

Fine surface ornament follows the circular eyewires and the raised bridge, adding texture without the mass of an acetate rim. The bridge has an arched, W-like profile, with separate nose-pad arms below. The broad, flattened ends of the scoop temples distinguish the side view from a cable-temple version. White-tone metal and clear lenses keep the engraving visible; the gold-filled description is retained from the seller’s identification.

Collector’s note

The engraved surface detail is the defining feature and merits close examination alongside the temple profile.

Condition & presentation

The filigree remains visible along the rims and bridge; the scoop temples retain their distinctive profile. Please refer to the photographs for surface detail; additional close-ups are available. No case is included.

Restoration is carried out with intention by third-party specialists on an as-needed basis, preserving original features and markings as fully as possible. Individual condition notes describe the visible state and any specifically recorded changes.
