Side-mount construction
Round, full metal rims enclose the lens edges; the temple attachments meet the front at the outer sides. The raised bridge and separate nose pads give the centre a layered profile, while the cable temples retain a fine, continuous line. The warm metal has a rose-to-yellow appearance in the photographs, and the pads show age-related yellowing. A recorded gold-filled bridge stamp supports the inventory’s material description; it does not supply a production year.
Collector’s note
The side-mounted construction and fine metalwork are the principal features. A precise production date has not been established; the former early-1900s attribution is not retained.
Condition & presentation
Fine metal rims and cable temples are retained. The nose pads show yellowing in the photographs. Please refer to the photographs for surface detail; additional close-ups are available. No case is included.
Restoration is carried out with intention by third-party specialists on an as-needed basis, preserving original features and markings as fully as possible. Individual condition notes describe the visible state and any specifically recorded changes.
