Architectural colour
Transparent sections surround sharply shaped lens openings; blue and teal accents pick out the upper line and corners. Gold-tone elements add a second outline within the translucent front. At the sides, open rectangular metal links make the temple connection a prominent design element. Yellow-tinted lenses bring warmth to the cool frame colours. The recorded model 182, colour 225 and West Germany inscriptions identify the configuration; comparable model 182 examples occur in other colours.
Collector’s note
Colour and structure share the emphasis: the metalwork follows the architecture of the front rather than serving solely as decoration.
